Life on the Farm – The Alpacas and Animals This Autumn

As the season winds down here at Wren Farm, things have started to quieten across the site — but our animals are still keeping busy.

The alpacas have been watching the new lodge work closely, often standing by the fence as if inspecting every step. They seem especially curious about the machinery and concrete, and they’ve already claimed a few favourite new viewing spots.

Our ducks and hens are making the most of the last mild days before winter sets in, before they begin to spend more time inside their warm sheds over the colder months.

Over the next few months, we’ll be keeping up with daily feed routines and preparing the paddocks for winter. Fresh hay has been brought in, and the shelters have all been checked and topped up with straw.

The animals are a big part of what makes Wren Farm Retreats feel alive year-round — they’re always the first to greet us each morning and the first to check out anything new on the farm.

We’ll share more updates soon as the new lodges take shape and the animals adapt to their new neighbours.
