Lodge Development - Update 2

It’s been a busy few weeks here at the farm, with progress on our two new lodges coming along nicely. Since our previous update the trusses have been delivered, fastened into place and have already withstood some pretty severe stormy weather.

With the trusses now secure, both the front and rear stud walls have been installed. This stage makes a big difference in really getting a feel for the space inside the lodges and beginning to plan the internal layout. These lodges will have slightly more space than Wren & Robin lodge thanks to using wider trusses, but they will be smaller than our family sized Eider lodge.

The roofs have also been lathed and felted, ready for tiling over the coming weeks. Our next update will really highlight the different style we have chosen for these next 2 lodges, with them using pantiles instead of slates, as well as a number of other design updates which will be revealed as the build progresses.

You may also notice some structural differences compared to our existing lodges. The shape has been adapted in a few key areas to make room for something entirely new that we’ll be introducing with these builds. We’ll be sharing more details on this soon.

Further updates will follow as the project continues to move forward. If you’d like to be notified when these new lodges become available to book (early 2026), you can register your interest on our Nightingale accommodation page.
