Plastering Complete and Major Milestones Reached | Lodge Diaries Part 4

plastered walls

A lot of progress has been made since our last update, and the two new lodges are really starting to come together.

Inside, all walls are now fully plastered, which has completely transformed the spaces. Seeing smooth, finished walls makes the layout and proportions feel much more real and gives a proper sense of what the final interiors will be like. The plastering process was, of course, closely supervised by our dogs. Unfortunately, one of them took the role a little too seriously, got a bit too close, and ended up wearing some of the plaster himself. Thankfully, no dogs were harmed, just mildly embarrassed.

Plumbing is also now in place, with the water system connected and the shower cylinder installed, marking a major step towards the lodges being fully functional.

Outside, the front overhang cladding has been installed, adding another layer of detail to the exterior and helping tie the overall design together. Each addition brings the lodges closer to their finished look and reinforces the modern, high-quality feel we’re aiming for.

From here, we’ll be moving into the next phase of internal works and finer details that really elevate the spaces. We’ll continue to share updates as things progress.
